I work from an integrative and relational framework, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to best suit the needs of each individual. Central to my work is the belief that the relationship between us is a powerful vehicle for change. I see human suffering holistically, taking into account both past and present experiences, and considering how they influence your daily life.
My approach is calm, empathic, and grounded in honesty and authenticity. I prioritise creating a safe and supportive space where we can explore whatever may be troubling you. I work in a trauma-informed way, ensuring that safety is always at the forefront, and I take a mind-body approach, drawing on neuroscience to understand and connect the dots between mental and physical well-being.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood, so that we can work together towards healing and growth.
My private room in Little Bealings
I have worked with various organisations offering counselling to individuals with a broad range of issues. I have experience working with Anxiety, Abuse, Bereavement, Co-dependency, Depression, Difficult Relationships, Emotional distress, Illness, Loss, Menopause, Neurodivergence, Parenthood, PTSD and CPTSD, Retirement, Self-Confidence, Self-Harm, Sensory issues, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma. The list is not exhaustive but gives a rough idea of some of the issues I can work with. I regularly attend training events to stay up to date with my knowledge and skills. Recent training includes ADHD, Narcissism, and Baby loss.
I abide by the codes of ethics and professional practice of the UKCP and the BACP and operate professionally within my competence. I regularly attend supervision with a highly trained and skilled professional to aid my clinical practise.
I work from a private, confidential counselling room in Little Bealings, just outside of Woodbridge Suffolk. There is a free car park located outside. I am able to work both face-to-face and online.
I specialise in working with adults over 18 on an individual basis, offering weekly 50 minute sessions. While most sessions are offered on a set day/time each week, I do try to accommodate shift workers or people with less routine working patterns.
I understand how difficult it can be to make the first step
into counselling and how important it is to find the right counsellor for you. I therefore offer a free no obligation 15 minute phone conversation to answer any questions or concerns you may have and to gauge if I may be the right fit for you.
